SEDIE DESIGN（セディエ・デザイン）は、兵庫県小野市を拠点とするデザインスタジオです。
人とものごとの関係や在り方を丁寧に読み解き、抽出した本質をシンプルな構造・造形へ再構築し、人の営みや学びへ還元するデザインプロセスを重視しています。
デザインを志したとき、いつでも明るく大きな声で語り合い、永く愛用する椅子に囲まれて暮らす、陽気なイタリアの人々に出逢いました。彼らの「暮らしを楽しむ」風景と、暮らしに寄り添う椅子がデザインの原点となり、イタリア語で椅子を意味する「SEDIE」を屋号としました。

SEDIE DESIGN is a design studio based in Ono City, Hyogo, Japan.
We focus on understanding the relationships and states that exist between people and the things around them. By carefully observing these connections, we extract their essence, rebuild it into simple forms and structures, and return it to the context of human life and learning. This process defines our approach to design.
When I first aspired to become a designer, I encountered the cheerful people of Italy those who spoke with bright, open voices and lived surrounded by well-loved chairs. Their way of enjoying everyday life, and the presence of chairs that quietly accompany that life, became the origin of my design philosophy. Our name, “SEDIE,” meaning chairs in Italian, carries that spirit within it.
